Integrity House, a premier non-profit provider of substance abuse treatment and support services and a national and statewide leader in recovery assistance, will host the “Past, Present, and Future Gala” to celebrate the establishment of Integrity’s “Initiative for Women & Children” program. This black-tie affair will take place on Saturday November 19, 2005 at the Hilton Short Hills hotel in Short Hills, NJ, beginning at 6:30 p. m.

Often overlooked and underserved by social organizations, women and children are disproportionately impacted by substance abuse and addiction. Integrity, recognized as a national leader in providing substance abuse treatment through the Therapeutic Community (TC) model, will launch the dedicated “Initiative for Women & Children” program by hosting two extremely high-profile women of achievement to be honored at the event. Championed by Dr. Theresa Branchek and The Honorable Virginia Newman Littell, Integrity hopes to raise funds and awareness to support this much-needed initiative.

Honoree Dr. Theresa Branchek, CEO of Lundbeck Research USA, Inc. leads the Lundbeck family of companies, specializing in neurology and psychiatry, by developing therapeutics for central nervous system disorders. Heading Lundbeck’s New Jersey based Center of Excellence for Depression and Anxiety providing compounds for the drug development pipeline, Dr. Branchek is dedicated to research that helps to improve lives and support the advancement of science. Through her work and by serving on various scientific review panels for the National Institute of Health and the National Institute of Drug Abuse, Dr. Theresa Branchek’s experience and expertise has made her research and implementation invaluable. A community leader and a mother of three, Dr. Branchek is committed to initiatives that support family, education, and mental health.

Honoree Virginia Newman Littell, former Chairwoman of the New Jersey Republican Committee, is founder of Ginnie’s House, a child advocacy center that protects children from abuse. Named in her honor, Ginnie’s House was established in 1997 in Newton, NJ and is recognized as a national model for abused children. Ms. Littell is highly dedicated to issues supporting women and children, serving as guest speaker for the Whitman Series for Women and acting as the NJ State Senate and national advocate for abused children.

Ms. Littell currently serves on the NJ Hospital Association Board, the American Hospital Association Board and its Drug & Alcohol Committee, St. Claire’s Hospital Board and the Rutgers Business School Board of Advisors. Her instrumental involvement with and dedication to these and other causes has provided Ms. Littell with a priceless understanding of abused women and children, and has earned her great respect by both Democrats and Republicans alike.

Both Dr. Branchek and Ms. Littell will be leading speakers at Integrity’s “Past, Present, & Future Gala,” where attendees will be given the opportunity to meet Integrity members whose lives have been changed by the program and are now helping others to succeed, including some members of the Integrity staff. Some members will tell their own personal stories of how Integrity is making a life-changing, sometimes life-saving difference to them.

“This groundbreaking event will not only be a tribute to the many women and children affected by substance abuse, but also a celebration of their lives. By providing this underappreciated group of individuals a safe haven, they will finally be able to leave their troubled past behind them, create a brand new start, and look forward to a bright and encouraging future. Please join me at Integrity’s ‘Past, Present, & Future Gala,’ to help raise funds and awareness for these often unseen victims of substance abuse,” said David H. Kerr, Founder and President of Integrity.

Sponsorship tables of ten are encouraged, and are available at the $10,000, $7,500, $5,000, and $3500 levels. Individual tickets are $500, $300, and $250 per person. Underwriting, table sponsorship, journal advertisement and silent auction donation opportunities are also available.
