David Pike, a Londonderry, NH resident and Owner Operator for Humboldt Storage and Moving in Canton, MA was recently named as a finalist for the prestigious “Super Van Operator of the Year” award from the American Moving and Storage Association. Humboldt Storage and Moving is the largest United Van Lines agent in the Greater Boston Area and a member of the American Moving and Storage Association.
The American Moving and Storage Association’s “Super Van Operator of the Year” award will be presented at the 2003 American Moving and Storage Association Management Conference and Trade Show in month. Pike has been an Owner Operator for Humboldt Storage and Moving, since 1997 and has scored the highest in customer satisfaction over the past three years.
The American Moving and Storage Association’s “Super Van Operator of the Year” award recognizes and honors exemplary drivers and owner-operators who provide safe, reliable and customer-oriented truck transportation in service to the nation’s household goods carriers. Awards are given on the basis of an individual’s ability to run a successful business, operate in a safe manner over public highways and enhance the public image of the household goods industry.

Pike has received numerous awards over his 30-year career, spanning 2 million miles, as a commercial driver. Most recently, he received United Van Lines Van Operator of the Month in 2000 and 2002 as well as United Van Lines Runner Up Van Operator of the Month in 1999. In 2000, he achieved United Van Lines Van Operator of the Year and in 1998 and 2001 received the United Van Lines Safe Driving and Excellent Performance awards.
Over the past ten years, Pike has generously given back to the community through his involvement with the Greater Boston Retardation Foundation and Windham Country Club as well as through donations to the Cam Neely Foundation and New Hampshire Christmas Foundation.
Pike resides in Londonderry, NH with his wife Sharon and three children.
