Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) February 28, 2008
Today, the BAM Radio Network (BRN), a joint project of Moving & Learning and Jackstreet Media, announced that it has teamed with Gopher Sport to launch Play With A Purpose Radio. The new channel is featured on http://www. pwaponline. com (http://www. pwaponline. com), a site committed to the physical and cognitive development of young children through physical education, recreation and sports.
Play With A Purpose Radio will nanocast BRN's premier program, Body, Mind and Child, hosted by Rae Pica, a 30-year veteran in the field of early childhood education. The program offers insightful discussions with the nation's leading experts on issues parents and teachers care about most.
"There's a tremendous amount of research supporting the notion that physical activity is the key to a longer, healthier life and that it contributes to cognitive development," said Rae Pica. "Play with a Purpose shares our philosophy concerning the link between mind and body and provides effective and fun learning environments for children. We're pleased to partner with them to deliver this program," said Pica.
Stephanie Leibke of Play with a Purpose added, "We're thrilled to partner with BAM! to spread the message about the mind/body connection and its importance to learning. Physical activity and movement are paramount to helping children learn, and Rae Pica's discussions with leading experts provides a great resource for today's early childhood professionals and parents."

About BAM Radio Network:
The BAM Radio Network was launched to address the severe imbalance in parenting practices caused by the "commercialization of parenting" and the emphasis on intellectual development that excludes the critical role of the mind/body connection in early childhood. Created by leading early childhood experts, the programming challenges the popular genre of parenting notions that has given rise to commercial products like Baby Einstein, Brainy Baby and lapware, all of which claim to accelerate a child's mental development in the face of science that suggests otherwise. The network is a joint venture between New Hampshire-based Moving & Learning and Los Angeles-based Jackstreet Media Ventures LLC. The program is distributed through the Affiliate Nanocasting Network.
