Internet Video Outlines the Real "State Of The Union"

Internet Video Outlines the Real "State Of The Union"

President expected to deliver modest final address on Monday.

Washington, DC (Vocus) January 28, 2008

As the country prepares for the State of the Union address on Monday, a new Internet video released today by the Campaign for America’s Future reveals how President Bush broke the central promises he made in last year’s speech. While Bush touted responsible spending, health care for all, energy independence, a strong economy and political progress in Iraq, the administration actively blocked progress on all these fronts. The video asks, “What fantasy will Bush sell this year? What progress will conservatives applaud, and then conspire with Bush to obstruct?” The video is available at http://www. ourfuture. org/SOTU-truth-vp (http://www. ourfuture. org/SOTU-truth-vp).

With little time left in office and a diminishing role on the national stage, Bush’s final State of the Union address is expected to skip bold proposals and offer a timid approach to the nation’s economic and foreign policy problems.
