Carrie Goldstein, President of Impact Image (www. impactimageonline. com) received the Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). The APR program is overseen by the Universal Accreditation Board, which was established in 1998, and is consortium of nine professional national, regional and industry-specific communication organizations. There are currently 5,000 active APR practitioners worldwide.

“Earning the APR reflects a mastery of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to succeed in our increasingly complex profession,” said Felicia Blow, APR, 2009 chair of the Universal Accreditation Board. “Practitioners who achieve the designation are demonstrating their commitment not only to our profession, but also to a strong code of ethics and to the betterment of their organizations and clients.”

The Accreditation in Public Relation’s fundamental purpose is to unify and advance the professional by identifying those who have demonstrated board knowledge, experience and professional judgment in the field. The APR Examination measures a professional’s knowledge, skills and abilities in the practice of public relations, which includes communication theory, planning, management science and ethics. It is structured in such a way that a candidate must have several years of professional experience to attain this Accreditation.
