Dallas, TX (PRWEB) May 28, 2005

Ecom PPO. com, Inc. SM (Ecom) announces that they conducted over 1.2 million electronic (EDI) transactions during the month of March.

Ecom utilizes today’s most advanced technology to work with a number of PPO networks and vendors to obtain optimal savings for their subscribers. Claims are exchanged with payers and networks via electronic data interchange (EDI) with Ecom for processing, data perfection and quality assurance. “Each transaction represents a unique instance of a claim being sent to or received from one of Ecom’s many trading partners” said Michael Newman, Ecom’s Software Engineering Manager.

Processing over 1.2 million EDI transactions indicates a continued increase in the number of claims processed in an automated fashion between Ecom and its affiliates. It illustrates EcomÂ’s vast technical capabilities, growth and continuing emergence as a powerful force in the managed care administration services market.

Ecom CEO, Cade Havard explained, “When you consider the very small number of organizations, including clearinghouses, that offer EDI transactions as their core product and you note that Ecom is processing this substantial quantity monthly, it puts us in the very select company of mainly larger, public companies.” Rachel Graham, EcomÂ’s President and COO, supported this by saying, “With the exception of large managed care organizations, clearinghouses or large insurance carriers, this is an unprecedented number of EDI transactions in the Health Care industry. Additionally, Ecom continues to support the scanning of paper claims for conversion to EDI.”

“This number is evidence of the growing number of total lives that subscribe to Ecom’s services. We know of no other company that is devoted solely to managed care administration that handles anywhere near this number of transactions on a monthly basis,” said Mr. Havard. “Also noteworthy is that Ecom handled all these transaction as a byproduct of our core products and services; it was not our primary focus. Today, in our business space, there are companies whose core business is healthcare related EDI transactions and they will not process the 12 to 15 million transactions that Ecom will handle this year.”
