iSALUS healthcare™ announces its participation in the EHR Partners Program through the American College of Physician's Center for Practice Improvement and Innovation. This is the second year in a row that iSALUS healthcare has participated in and supported this valuable program. As part of its commitment to the program, iSALUS healthcare also attended the American College of Physicians Internal Medicine Conference held April 23rd in Philadelphia, PA and was one of four vendors invited to participate in an EHR "Kicking the Tires" vendor demonstration for the ACP membership. iSALUS healthcare demonstrated its innovative, web-based OfficeEMR™ service that significantly changes the EHR Start-up Cost Hurdle for smaller, physician practices.

"We believe that going forward the commitment that we make to CCHIT not only undermines the argument that only large EHR vendors have the knowledge or financial resources to meet these rigorous standards but that our service offering will meet the future EHR litmus test for 'meaningful use' for Medicare incentive payments" reports Michael Hall, co-founder and CIO of iSALUS healthcare. "We believe that a commitment to innovation, thoughtful design with physician input and one of the lowest cost entry points make it possible for us to be a market leader in the outpatient, healthcare market. This will position iSALUS healthcare to make it easier and more affordable for Internal Medicine physicians to adopt the web-based, OfficeEMR service as their preferred solution of choice".

"Although there are a wide variety of EHR products on the market, adoption rates remain low, especially among small and solo physician practices," Jeffrey P. Harris, MD, FACP, president of the American College of Physicians, commented. "The EPP is designed to help doctors and their practices research and compare various EHRs by providing information that would otherwise be difficult to obtain. We hope this tool helps practices narrow their list of EHRs products, so that they can focus their attention and make the right decisions."

Michael Charest, Vice President of Sales and Marketing of iSALUS healthcare, reports that there is increasing interest in native web-based, EHR solutions. "Why should Internal Medicine physicians, or any physician for that matter, use the stimulus money to turn around and counter-sign their payments to EHR vendors for expensive and unnecessary computer equipment commitments? Spending $25,000 upfront for a single physician, EHR software system makes no sense. With OfficeEMR, a physician's EHR startup costs are 60% less. iSALUS healthcare is committed to providing the most comprehensive and physician-friendly EHR service for our physician customers that keep as much of the Medicare incentive payments in their hands as possible. In fact, contrary to what many industry news groups are reporting, under the stimulus plan with OfficeEMR, a single physician would come out ahead by over $11,000. We are the future, and more and more physicians are beginning to see this reality."
