Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) February 23, 2006 –-
ScrubDude. com (www. scrubdude. com) unveiled its new inventory-centric online marketplace for health care professionals and others who wear medical uniforms and scrubs. Using this new online marketplace, consumers may purchase Cherokee brand uniforms and scrubs directly from a warehouse inventory of over 500,000 garments. A unique inventory scorecard enables consumers to view the companies overall success at maintaining inventory levels of 90% or greater for its core product line of 2500 different items.
Scrubdude. com is a division of Total ImageWorks, Inc. (www. totalimageworks. com); an Indianapolis based custom apparel embellisher and uniform distributor. According to Jeff Dunlap, Total ImageWorks’ president, “By launching this new inventory centric marketplace, scrubs purchasers are now able to select from thousands of style, color, and size combinations representing the entire Cherokee product line. In the past, online medical uniform purchasers were limited to relatively few styles and sizes based on limited online store inventories. This often left consumers unable to find they item they needed, or with intolerable back order times.” Dunlap went on to say, “With our innovative new inventory management system we have solved this problem for consumers.”
According to company officials, the online inventory scorecard provides the current availability levels for approximately 2500 different apparel style, color, and size combinations. The inventory scorecard brakes down results by garment type – pants, tops, and jackets – and provides consumers with a numeric indicator of product availability. ScrubDude. com’s stated goal is to have at least 90% of its product line available for purchase in every size and color available for an apparel item. The current inventory scorecard is 90.6%. In addition, ScrubDude. com offers nearly 7,500 other Cherokee scrub items that are available online, but not a part of the inventory scorecard due to their seasonal or limited nature. Each item for sale at the online store, whether an inventory scorecard item or a limited availability item, also shows its current warehouse inventory level.
ScrubDude. com collaborated with Cherokee Scrubs’ parent company Strategic Distribution, L. P. of Pacoima, CA (www. cherokeeuniforms. com) to make this technology possible. Under this arrangement, Strategic Distribution provides current inventory availability to ScrubDude. com so that consumers can purchase every item available from Cherokee’s warehouse inventory.
“Until now, the online medical uniform and scrub market space has been filled by brick and mortar retailers trying to increase their traditional sales. As a result they have been forced to carry multiple brands, but only a limited number of styles, colors, and prints from each manufacturer,” stated Dunlap. “With the online stores mirroring the middle of the road products of a multi-line vendor, consumers were left with a very limited selection to choose from, or alternatively, a long wait time for special ordered items. By focusing exclusively on one manufacturer – Cherokee Scrubs – we are able to offer every style they make, in every color, size, and print available.”
ScrubDude. com was founded in 2005 and is a division of Total ImageWorks, Inc. More information about ScrubDude. com is available at www. scrubdude. com. Total ImageWorks, Inc is a privately held Delaware Corporation that operates numerous business ventures. In addition to ScrubDude. com, Total ImageWorks, Inc., operates a number of private label online uniform and scrub shops on behalf of hospitals for use by their employees. These online shops allow employees to purchase uniforms and scrubs by payroll deduction as well as credit cards. If the hospital enforces a color and/or style dress code, these private label online shops can limit employees’ selections based on that dress code.
