The Pederson-Krag Center recently dedicated a childrenÂ’s activity room at the centerÂ’s Yaphank location, 81 Old Dock Road in March.

The development of the childrenÂ’s room was sponsored by The Jason Rosolinsky Memorial Fund. The room was dedicated in Jason RosolinskyÂ’s name. Jason passed away suddenly in a car accident when he was only 15 years old. Throughout his life, Jason struggled with an array of learning disabilities that he faced with great determination and hope. His parents, Marty, a Pederson-Krag Center employee, and Marlene, established the fund to help meet the needs of children in crisis.

“We are extremely grateful for the incredible generosity of Marty and Marlene Rosolinsky. This children’s room will provide a wonderful opportunity for our young clients and our client’s children to remain engaged and fulfilled while they are benefiting from the services of Pederson-Krag,” said Dr. Kyla Blattberg, Deputy Executive Director of The Pederson-Krag Center. “In addition, the Rosolinsky’s have established a medical needs fund that we use to provide our clients in need with items such as food, clothing and toys.”

“We hope that this room will continue to put smiles on the faces of children who need all of our help,” said Marlene Rosolinsky, president of the Jason Rosolinsky Memorial Fund. “We know first-hand the wonderful work The Pederson-Krag Center does and we are delighted that Jason’s fund has played a role in improving the lives of others.”

The Pederson-Krag Center is one of the largest not-for-profit, out patient behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment centers on Long Island. The organization was founded in 1957 and its mission is to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to residents of the county, regardless of their ability to pay.
