CyberScrub LLC, an Atlanta based developer of computer security tools today released CyberScrub Privacy Suite™ 4.0. This award winning application is designed to perform secure file deletion, remove all evidence of your computer activity beyond recovery and secure your sensitive data with powerful encryption.
Formerly known as CyberScrub Professional Edition, this application sports not only a new name and completely redesigned interface, but over 50 new features and enhancements.
“Delete” does not mean “Erase”. Deleted information can be easily recovered with simple tools, placing discarded data at risk. Protecting information is a serious responsibility that may have ethical and legal consequences. Health records, passwords, marketing plans, IP, bids, personnel and payroll data, tax returns, sales contracts, trade secrets and email are examples of sensitive data that may reside on a computer scheduled for disposal. Privacy Suite erases not only active files, but previously “deleted” data with methods that exceed standards set by the US Department of Defense.

Users can now create macros to launch and execute a single or combined number of tasks. For example, a simple key combination such as Alt-7 could close all browser windows and start the erasure process in stealth mode.
Additional enhancements include the setting of system resource allocation to be used by the program, a new anti-piracy activation scheme, a VIA Nehemiah random number generator, the addition support for many new P2P applications and much more.
