Continuing to innovate the hummus industry, Tribe Mediterranean Foods, a leading trendsetter in the rapidly growing Mediterranean food category and creators of America's favorite hummus, introduced the industry's first nationally distributed Organic Hummus. Certified as USDA organic by Quality Assurance International (QAI), Tribe's Organic Hummus provides retailers with a tasty, high-quality product from a trusted name-brand manufacturer. QAI certifies up to 70 percent of U. S. organic products and is a trusted name in the organic certification industry.

Tribe will initially introduce four Organic Hummus flavors for retail grocery in 8 oz containers -- Classic, Roasted Garlic, Sweet Roasted Red Peppers and Cracked Chili Peppers. The products will retail for an MSRP of $3.49. In conjunction, Tribe is introducing the industry's first Organic Hummus Party Trays in six different flavors. Tribe's Organic Party Trays come in two varieties and features 3/6oz varieties of organic hummus in each tray. The first Organic Hummus Party Tray includes 6 ounces of Classic, Roasted Garlic and Sweet Roasted Red Peppers. The second Organic Hummus Party Tray will contain Tribe's Forty Spices, Zesty Lemon and Cracked Chili Peppers. Made from the finest ingredients, Tribe's Organic Hummus has an industry leading 80-day shelf life from the date of production.

The North American organic foods market continues to sizzle and will reach the $20 billion mark within the next few years, according to the Organic Trade Association. The growth in the market can be attributed to increased supply in fresh produce, as well as an emerging organic market in frozen products, beverages, confectionary and ready-to-eat foods.

"Consumers are seeking out and purchasing organic foods at a record pace," said Rick Schaffer, VP of Sales and Marketing for Tribe Mediterranean Foods. "Our Organic Hummus line is certified organic by QAI and gives our retailers the ability to stock their deli cases with a trusted organic brand and attract consumers that demand high-quality, organic products."

Tribe distributes nationally to retailers, wholesalers and foodservice establishments throughout the U. S., Canada and Mexico. Tribe's Organic Hummus suggested MSRP for an 8 ounce container is between $3.49 - $3.79 per unit.

Tribe's organic hummus products are USDA certified organic, are trans-fat free, gluten-free, preservative-free, GMO-free, non-dairy, certified Kosher, vegan friendly and contain no saturated fats, cholesterol or hydrogenated oils. All Tribe Organic hummus products have an industry-leading 80-day shelf life and undergo the most stringent quality assurance procedures in the industry.
