Micato Safaris Honored at Conde Nast Traveler's 3rd Annual World Savers Awards
Micato Safaris is recognized as a travel industry leader for wildlife conservation efforts in Africa and is named a "Good Guy Overall" by Conde Nast Traveler in their 3rd Annual World Savers Awards.

Awards were presented in the presence of some 250 travel industry and non-profit leaders and activists, including documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, actor Edward Norton, and singer-philanthropist Wyclef Jean, who gathered to discuss what the travel industry can do to improve the environment and living conditions around the globe.
Awards were presented in five categories: Education, Poverty, Wildlife, Preservation, and Health. Micato Safaris was honored in the Wildlife category for contributing more than $1 million annually to African wildlife education and conservation programs, including programs that provide financial incentives against hunting programs and field trips to national parks for city-dwelling African children.

AmericaShare provides education through their School Sponsorship Programme and tools for sustainable living to women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Mukuru, one of Nairobi, Kenya's worst slums.
