Brulant, Inc., one of the leading online business partners in the nation, announced today that they have acquired Xteric Technology Group, a business diagnostics, web enablement and technology support services specialist. Xteric Technology Group is located in Independence, Ohio.

With this acquisition, Brulant will have approximately 200 employees, annual revenue approaching $30 million and will be one of the largest and leading online business partners in the Midwest, and among the top 50 in the country. The acquisition allows Brulant to achieve the scale to fully capitalize on the large market opportunity of companies migrating to Web 2.0 (SOA), and the rapid shift of ad spend to the online channel.

“Brulant made this acquisition for one main reason: to serve our clients better, “ said Len Pagon, President and Chief Executive Officer of Brulant. “Our clients’ appetite has continued to grow for our work both in depth and breadth. This combination with a first-class organization like Xteric provides us with more capacity, as well as deeper bench strength, industry concentration and alignment, and most importantly, the ability to better react directly to our clients’ demand.”

Brulant and Xteric have both been operating in the Northeast Ohio market. Xteric has focused its work primarily on business diagnostics, web enablement and technology support services such as application outsourcing and staffing. Brulant is fast becoming a nationally recognized online solutions partner for its capabilities around interactive marketing and creative design, SOA-based web and application development, application managed services, outsourcing, and market intelligence and analytics.

Brulant will continue to focus on the financial services, retail, consumer goods, healthcare and service industries. Moving forward, the firm will have further strength in the combined online marketing, managed services and outsourcing offerings, as well as in key partnerships with IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, Tealeaf and WebTrends.
