Pinnacle Career Institute announced today that it will add a Health Information Technology (HIT) program to its list of offerings at the South Kansas City campus as well as its online division. The career institution already offers several programs in today’s fastest-growing industries.
As the healthcare industry continues to expand, Pinnacle Career Institute wants to offer its students yet another way to advance their career. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in healthcare is projected to increase by 22 percent through 2018. Health information technicians are vital to all types of healthcare settings, ranging from hospitals to offices.

Pinnacle Career Institute’s 18-month program is designed to give students the knowledge they need for a successful career as a health information technician. Students will learn how to compile and maintain databases, review health records, apply various procedure codes, organize and present data for clinical databases, use necessary technology and specialized software, and design, query and generate data reports.
Upon graduating from the program, participants will be prepared for an entry-level position in the growing healthcare field and will have the skills they need to build a strong, rewarding career.
