Diamond Resorts International® (Diamond), a global leader in the hospitality and vacation ownership industry, concludes its DRIven® to Fitness challenge to promote a healthy lifestyle for team members and announces the grand prize winners of the corporate DRIven® to Fitness challenge, soon to launch worldwide.

With the conclusion of the year-long fitness program, Diamond is pleased to announce the winning team of the corporate DRIven® to Fitness challenge and recipients of the $10,000 grand prize is ‘Fit for Life’ with a combined loss of 112 lbs, constituting a 12.6% total weight loss. Other teams with recognizable results include, ‘Tech-no-flab’ with an 11.5% weight loss and ‘Muscle Tech’ with an 11.3% weight loss. The total weight loss for the company nationally was 4,602 lbs.

The DRIven® to Fitness program was originally instituted as a 90-day program that launched at its corporate headquarters with 34 teams participating in a weigh-in on January 28, 2010 and after much feedback, positive results and increased interest, the program was extended regionally within the United States and through the end of the year. In order to support and encourage a healthy regime of dieting and exercise, Diamond provided participants with a professional trainer and nutritionist along with supplemental educational classes offering topics such as breaking old habits, cooking lean and living healthy. DRIven® to Fitness is ready to span the globe, and will be launching next in Europe and the United Kingdom.
