Lombardi Named Winner of InfoWorld's 2008 Technology of the Year Award

Leading Vendor Receives Accolade for Best BPM Software Product

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) January 16, 2008

Lombardi (http://www. lombardi. com)®, a leader in Business Process Management (BPM) software, today announced its flagship BPM suite software Teamworks®, has been named the "Best Business Process Management" product and recipient of a 2008 Technology of the Year Award by IDG's InfoWorld, the leading integrated media brand for IT Decision Makers.

InfoWorld's annual Technology of the Year Awards recognizes the top technologies that made the greatest impact during the past year. They also identify the products that best exemplify the implementation of those technologies. This year, InfoWorld honored 45 across nine general categories. Lombardi received its Best BPM product award in the Applications and Middleware category.

According to the InfoWorld Test Center editors and reviewers, "Teamworks 6 Enterprise shines brightly with easy-to-use development tools for both business analysts and IT, well-integrated performance monitoring, and superb simulation and historical analysis." They further commented on Teamworks by saying that, "This is a solid, flexible BPM solution that can execute most any enterprise workflow, without demanding the development expertise that competing high-end offerings typically require."

"InfoWorld tests upwards of 200 IT products every year, and we see many, many good ones," said Doug Dineley, InfoWorld's Test Center Executive Editor. "Our Technology of the Year award winners represent not only the cream of the crop, but the best products in the most important product categories."

This award is one of a series of recent recognitions bestowed on Lombardi and Teamworks. In December, Lombardi was positioned in the "Leaders" quadrant of the published report "Magic Quadrant for Business Process Management Suites, 2007"* by independent analyst firm Gartner, Inc. Similarly, Lombardi was named a Human-Centric BPM for Java platforms Leader by independent analyst firm Forrester Research in its August 2007 published report, "The Forrester Wave™: Human-Centric BPM For Java Platforms, Q3 2007."

"We're proud to be named 'Best BPM product' by InfoWorld," said Rod Favaron. "This award speaks directly to Lombardi's leading role in continuing to deliver mission-critical, high-value BPM solutions for customers of all sizes."
