Atlas Medical Software and Data Innovations Inc. announced recently that they have donated a state of the art lab order entry and result reporting solution to the largest free health clinic in the U. S., Venice Family Clinic. Atlas Medical Software, the best of breed provider of physician order entry solutions for laboratories, and Data Innovations, the gold standard in middleware solutions, vastly improved efficiency and enhanced patient care by allowing physicians to order tests and view results electronically from the Clinic’s internal lab systems and external reference labs.
The Venice Family Clinic (VFC) located in Venice, CA provides low-income patients throughout Los Angeles County with free comprehensive primary health care, mental health services, health education and child development services. Serving nearly 22,000 patients annually in more than 106,000 visits, the Clinic has received accolades for its groundbreaking work in health care and boasts close to 2500 volunteers – 462 of whom are doctors.
The Venice Family Clinic solution consists of Data Innovations’ Instrument ManagerTM (IM) and Atlas LabWorks. The Atlas order entry platform connects directly to the Clinic’s lab instruments using Data Innovations middleware, while also facilitating electronic orders and results interfaces to a number of area reference labs that perform testing for VFC.
