Malibu Realtor Susan Monus donates $25,000 to the Malibu High School chapter of Operation Smile.

Operation Smile is a not-for-profit volunteer organization that provides reconstructive surgery and heath care services to children and young adults suffering from facial deformities such as cleft lips, cleft palates, burns and tumors.
In June of 2005 when Susan heard of the great progress the Malibu High School chapter of Operation Smile was making she wanted to help them achieve their goals. She then contacted Tyler McCormick & Talia Kozak the senior Co-Presidents of the Malibu High School chapter and asked them to meet with her to discuss their experiences and the organization.
Since 1982, the organization has provided reconstructive surgery and health care services to nearly 90,000 children and young adults suffering from facial deformities in 23 countries including the U. S. Susan's donation of $25,000 will fund over 30 cleft lip surgeries which will have a major impact on the lives of these unfortunate children.
Always an active philanthropist, Susan Monus believes that educating children and giving back to society are two very important things that a person can do in their lifetime. During her 22 years as a Realtor, Susan has donated time and money to many local schools, charities and youth organizations. Susan reads to children at the Pt. Dume Marine Science Elementary School weekly during the school year showing that she truly believes in taking time out of her busy schedule to give back to the community and its children.
