There will be a silent auction hosting a variety of items donated by local supporting businesses. Local residents are invited to enjoy an evening of art and entertainment.
The Brooke Trace Gallery's January Exhibit Opening will be displaying original artwork ranging from watercolor and oil on canvas, to photography and sculpture. Featured artists include John Lennon, Mike Turner, Bruce Yodanis, Eve Burjato, Ed Pang, Brooke Trace, Kimberly Peterson, Max Gold, Ashton Howard, Tripp Harrison & more, with live music by Miriam Leah Sherwood.
The Wildlife Care Center is a private nonprofit organization. It has provided an invaluable service in Fort Lauderdale for 35 years. The Center’s mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and release native wildlife that has been harmed or displaced; to treat and place certain needy domestic, exotic and farm animals; and to educate the public toward the co-existence with all animals. More than 15,000 birds, mammals and reptiles passed through our doors last year alone, and the number grows each year, primarily due to increasing development and human hazards. A dedicated team of full-time veterinarians, animal care staff and trained volunteers care for sick, injured, orphaned and abandoned animals, 365 days a year.
The silent auction will support this worthy cause through donations by our sponsors. We are proud of our event sponsors: Cibo e Vino, Tequila Sunrise, World Famous Parrot, Full Moon Kayak, Mack Planet, Salon 007, Ottographics, Center for Optimal Health, Jeff Shulman Photography, Fishing Headquarters and more. Through donations at the door and the silent auction, held from 6-9:30 p. m. we generate funds to support the WCC Organization.
The Brooke Trace Gallery hosts its gallery events and exhibit openings on Friday each month. Each event features new artist exhibitions and art from classic and modern masters, ranging from the fine art of Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Peter Max and others to the latest works by Adam Rote and many others of The Brooke Trace Gallery's Featured Artists. Events have included featured artists meet and greet, and eclectic live entertainment from musical performances, cultural dance performances to live body painting art.
