The Industry Trade Advisory Committees (ITAC’s) were established in 1974 and are a public-private partnership, jointly managed by the U. S. Department of Commerce and U. S. Trade Representative, which engages business leaders in formulating U. S. trade policy.
The ITAC 11 committee represents the interests of small (fewer than 500 employees) and minority businesses involved in international trade, and provides detailed policy and technical advice, information, and recommendations on trade barriers, negotiations of trade agreements, and implementation of current trade agreements to the U. S. government.
