BACKUS • CARRANZA, a Las Vegas, Nevada-based litigation law firm, announces the addition of a new associate, James J. Conway. Conway’s experience and training include the areas of gaming, hotels and resorts, finance and biotechnology.
While in law school, Mr. Conway was a member of law review, was named to the Dean’s List, and served as an extern in the Washington, D. C. office of U. S. Senator Harry Reid. Mr. Conway graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Major in Finance. Conway is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and received his Juris Doctor from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Prior to law school, Mr. Conway worked in banking and finance. In addition, Mr. Conway has also been employed with a publicly traded biotechnology company, a gaming device manufacturer, and a major resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Mr. Conway has been a resident of Las Vegas for over 28 years.
