Lombardi Experts to Present at EclipseCon 2008 Conference in Santa Clara

Speakers from BPM Leader to Share Tips and Techniques at Leading Eclipse Conference

Austin, TX (PRWEB) March 13, 2008

Lombardi (http://www. lombardi. com)®, a leader in business process management (BPM) software, today announced that two members of its product development team were selected to share their Eclipse expertise and findings during two sessions at the upcoming EclipseCon 2008 Conference (http://www. eclipsecon. org/2008). The four-day event will be held on March 17 - 20, 2008 at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.

"We're pleased that two Lombardi speakers were selected to share their Eclipse knowledge at EclipseCon," said Matt Howitt, vice president of product engineering at Lombardi. "Eclipse is at the center of our Teamworks BPM platform, so it's exciting to see that our developers are receiving recognition for the work they do every day."

The first presentation, a "long-talk" conference session entitled "Designing Business and Technical User Interfaces in Eclipse RCP Applications," will be hosted by Morten Moeller, senior product and user experience designer at Lombardi, on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 3:30 p. m. in the Grand Ballroom. During the session, attendees will learn about user interaction design and GUI development strategies to make Eclipse products work with or without a proprietary presentation implementation and what the design limitations are to the Eclipse Presentation API.

The second session is a "short-talk" conference session entitled "Deep integration of GWT/Javascript and Eclipse 3.3 using XULRunner and JavaXPCOM." The session will be presented by Bryan Campbell, a Lombardi software engineer, and is being held on Wednesday, March 19 at 10:20 a. m. in Room 203/204. The presentation explores how an array of related technologies allows for rich communication between the Eclipse Platform and its embedded Mozilla browser widgets. Example code and a demonstration of how Lombardi leverages this technology will show how these exciting capabilities can be used in the real world.

EclipseCon is the premier technical and user conference focusing on the power of the Eclipse platform. EclipseCon 2008 has more than 350 tutorials and talks covering all aspects of Eclipse technology and commercial interests, including mobile computing, Eclipse as Platform, Java to C/C++; contributing to open source and building a business, as well as tutorials.

The sessions are open to all conference attendees. For more information or to register, view the EclipseCon agenda (http://www. eclipsecon. org/2008).
