In an independent third party survey commissioned by Ashton Woods Homes, Ashton Woods' homeowners were surveyed as to what factors influenced their decision to buy a new home. The survey included a cross-section of homeowners in each of Ashton Woods' six metro markets across the nation. These homeowners were asked questions that ranged in topic from new vs. used home-related questions to energy efficiency and green building features and benefits.

The survey results point to the fact that 48% of homebuyers are interested in energy-efficiency and reductions in annual utility bills.
