Continuing its mission of helping animals in need, Canidae Pet Foods will donate a supply of its all natural senior canine diet to local Michigan animal shelter Golden Years Alaskan Malamute Rescue

San Luis Obispo, CA (PRWEB) April 12, 2010

CANIDAE Pet Foods, Inc. (http://www. canidae. com (http://www. canidae. com)), a manufacturer of all natural holistic pet foods that are fed and recommended by thousands of certified breeders and rescue organizations throughout North America, will attend the 5th annual West Michigan Pet Expo on April 24-25, 2010 at the Deltaplex Arena and Conference Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Continuing the Canidae Pet Foods mission of fostering Responsible Pet Ownership and helping animals in need, Canidae Sales Manager James Brown has arranged for one of the show's animal shelter attendees, Golden Years Alaskan Malamute Rescue, to receive a donation of Canidae Platinum formula dog food. Canidae Platinum is specially formulated to provide senior and over weight dogs a diet with reduced calories, fat and protein while still providing the important vitamins, minerals, and nutrients needed to maintain health. Made with high quality chicken, turkey, lamb, and fish meals, this all natural formulation contains Glucosamine and Chondroitin to promote better joint health, and Psyllium for fiber intake to help with digestion.

Canidae Pet Foods has arranged for independent pet food retailer Agard's Lawn & Garden in Muskegon to make the donation of Canidae Platinum available to the Golden Years Alaskan Malamute Rescue. Upon learning of the assistance to their shelter animals, Carol Januszewski of GYAMR stated, "We are all too aware of the importance of nutrition and are extremely grateful for the chance to feed our seniors a superior food. Thank you so much."

Expected to draw in excess of 8,000 attendees over two days, the West Michigan Pet Expo features a large display area for pet products companies, and an adoption area manned by a number of West Michigan area animal shelters and rescues including the Golden Years Alaskan Malamute Rescue. There are also two entertainment stages that feature seminars and animal entertainment designed to appeal to the entire family. This year's entertainment lineup features the '2003 Animal Planet Pet Star' winner Johnny Peers and Muttville Comix, the premiere dock jumping group Ultimate Air Dogs, Mark Rossenthal's world famous Animal Magic, and Russell Morris with his 'Creepy Crawlers' show.

Attendees may visit the Canidae booth were James Brown and his staff of dedicated pet lovers will offer free samples and coupons for the complete line of Canidae Pet Foods products including Canidae for dogs, Felidae for cats, and nutritionally complete Snap-Biscuit and Snap-Bits treats for dogs.
