The veterinary radiologist, or technologist, will have access to patient information and the radiology exams while running on the same desktop. Vetstar provides complete electronic medical records, accounting information and customized reporting such as medical summaries, estimates and referrals, and PACS4VETS™ provides a diagnostic viewing solution, digital archiving and CD burning. PACS4VETS™ acquires the images rendered during a CT, MRI, CR, DR, Ultrasound, etc., exam and displays the images on a computer screen. The veterinary radiologist can then enhance the image for improved diagnosis by zooming, adjusting the contrast, annotating and marking, and measuring regions of interest—all by using a desktop PC. Exams can also be saved and stored on-line indefinitely, or saved to CD, eliminating and thus reclaiming the valuable storage space needed for film-based exams. And now, with the integration of Vetstar, all images, documentation, medical history, accounting records and everything associated with an animal examination can be viewed by all doctors from any workstation, digitized, archived and transmitted instantaneously anywhere in the world via the Internet to colleagues and owners.
