ChartLogic, Inc., the leading developer of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) solutions, has recently implemented an HL-7 interface at multiple client locations to effectively transfer patient data from the ChartLogic EMR to the Stryker OfficePACS digital imaging system.
The ChartLogic Stryker Interface allows ChartLogic™ clients a one-way flow of patient demographic information, removing the need for practice staff to redundantly re-enter new patient data into the OfficePACS system. In addition to drastically speeding up the process, the probability of data input error is significantly reduced.
“This is an efficient and effective interface between ChartLogic™ and other systems, such as OfficePACS, that helps eliminate redundant manual input of information,” according to Mike Berry, ChartLogic’s vice president of software development.
“More efficient workflow through effective data transfer between systems is a strategic focus at ChartLogic,” Mr. Berry said. “As both the industry and consumers become more sophisticated, they will need an enterprising system such as ChartLogic™ that provides better workflow solutions throughout the clinical office.”
The ChartLogic Stryker Interface is already in effect at several client sites including Pennsylvania, PA-based Cautilli Orthopaedics, where it has met the most pressing need of time savings. “It was most important for us to have a system that allowed us to transfer the information quickly so we could save time,” said Cautilli’s information technology manager Jeanette Jefferson. “So it’s a matter of using one key as opposed to having a technician input all the information.”
