Chicago Graduate Student Creats Cool Treats for Hot Dogs
Becky Marshall, a Columbia College Chicago graduate student, has created Chilly Dawg, a company that serves all natural frozen treats for dogs.
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) August 11, 2004
Move over dog biscuits, there's a new treat in town -- Chilly Dawg! These all natural frozen snacks are available in four delicious 4 oz. flavors: Barkin' Apple, Berry Bite, Puppy Nutter, and Beggin' Banana. All are made with soy milk and, depending on the flavor, a puree of fruit or homemade peanut butter.
Chilly Dawg treats can be found in Chicago area stores, at dog parks, the Montrose Beach dog beach, farmer's markets and events where people and dogs gather together. Visit www. chilly-dawg. com for retail locations and ordering information.
Becky Marshall, the company's owner and a graduate student in Interior Architecture at Columbia College Chicago, came up with the idea of Chilly Dawg after visiting an ice cream shop. She yearned for a healthy treat alternative for her German Shepherd, Hailey, and instead of buying ice cream (which upsets dogs' stomachs), she set out to create her own delicious, healthy frozen treat. She began making homemade treats that she kept in her freezer, and Hailey immediately went crazy for them. "Not only do dogs love Chilly Dawg, but their guardians can feel great about giving them this all natural treat any day of the year!"
Be on the lookout for Marshall and her Chilly Dawg treats at the Anti-Cruelty Society's dog wash from 11 a. m. until 4 p. m. on Saturday, August 14, 2004 as well as at C. A.R. E. (Community Animal Rescue Effort) for the Animal Shelter in Evanston and their annual dog wash on Saturday, September 11 from 9 a. m. until 2 p. m.
