Ms. Washington known as Queen Motivator for her keen passion for economic empowerment had shared some extreme insight as she spoke about ÂThe Black Wall Street experience and how it relates to strengthening economic empowerment today. As an added treat, she read an affirmation from her national best selling book ÂThe Book of Proverbs for Entrepreneurs  Keys to SuccessÂ.
Her speech highlighted the role women played in ÂThe Black Wall Street and how women have always been the pillars of the community. In fact, Ms. Washington is leading a national trend in the area of Economic Empowerment abd as a result, four levels of government, (Congress, Senate, Legislator, and City Council) recognizes her efforts and has proclaimed the month of June as Economic Empowerment Month.
In addition, Congressman Ed Towns will be participating in June 2005 Economic Empowerment Month, as well as Black Business Circle members, including Harold Leffall, Dr. Reid, Shirley Garner and Dr. Stephen Jones.

Dr. Chapman of Greater Bright Light Baptist Church is a member of Black Business Circle and has exercised extreme vision and foresight by having the vision to have June 2005 Economic Empowerment Month events held at his church. Additionally, on the evening of Friday, June 17, 2005 at the Reception, we can expect to hear the phenomenal economic empowerment lecturer, Reverend Dennis Dillon of the Brooklyn Christian Center.
Lisa Washington is changing the face of East New York, and her vision is leading the renaissance. Black Business CircleÂs Economic Empowerment Month events will serve as a tremendous opportunity for sponsors and vendors.
In fact, Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz supports Economic Empowerment Month, and he is quite notorious for showing up at events that he supports. Black Business Circle looks forward to his participation this year. Senator John Sampson was a great supporter as well, and also proclaimed the month of June as Economic Empowerment Month.
On January 17, 2005, Senator John Sampson visited East New York to support a tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and showed his support for Black Business Circle KIDÂs, a youth empowerment program, in their portrayal of Rosa Parks and a Civil Rights protestor in short skit called, ÂThe Bus Boycott.Â
