Fisher Science World Comes to Ireland -- Shannon-based Reagecon Launch Largest Ever Laboratory Exhibition for Ireland

(PRWEB) March 7, 2006

Reagecon, Ireland’s second largest laboratory supplier launched today Fisher Science World: The Ireland Tour. This exhibition, co-organised by Reagecon and Fisher Scientific (world’s largest laboratory supplier), will showcase over thirty five manufacturers of laboratory products and will also showcase Reagecon’s own manufactured products, host three seminars and launch Reagecon’s new Sampling Process Offering: ten steps to offering correct results. It will be held in Croke Park on March 30th 2006.

This is the first time an exhibition of this type will be held in Ireland. It will demonstrate the span of products, innovations, services and knowledge capability that are available to the Laboratory market. In addition the exhibition will highlight Reagecon’s capability -- through its suppliers -- to offer complete turnkey, vendor managed inventory solutions, along with showcasing Reagecon’s innovative supply chain management and customer care capabilities. Included in this will be Reagecon’s Laboratory online shopping facility.

Speaking on the launch of Fisher Science World: The Ireland Tour John Barron, managing director of Reagecon, commented “Reagecon is proud to be associated with our partner Fisher Scientific International in bringing this exhibition to Dublin. The main objectives of this exhibition are to educate delegates on key issues e. g. health & safety, raise awareness of specific products & services and to demonstrate Reagecon’s complete customer focus programme. It is, also, a means of consolidating and promoting the relationship between Fisher Scientific International and Reagecon”.

Continuing John Barron commented “The launch of our new innovative Sampling Product range is very important. The whole science of sampling is neglected at present and therefore results in poor sampling being obtained. This may lead to a break in the chain of custody, possible litigation or incorrect results. Reagecon has adopted strategic sampling as a major R&D project and has packaged a complete offering to include sampling strategy, training, products, data transmission, bar coding, storage, disposal and validation”.

The presence of Cryptosporidium, in potable (drinking) water, is now considered to be a major public health threat to the population. It is very prevalent in our waterways and originates from animals. Reagecon is actively looking at incorporating products to identify and isolate this organism into its environmental test programme. There will be a seminar dedicated to this topic at the exhibition.

The main delegates at Fisher Science World: The Ireland Tour will be chemists, technicians, analysts, procurement staff, laboratory managers, medical laboratory scientists, environmental health officers and any other category of worker that has a need or requirement for state of the art laboratory analysis. It is estimated that there will be in excess of four hundred attending the event.
