Columbus, OH (PRWEB) July 27, 2006

Run Wild Racing is pleased to announce the first ever Created to Run 7K race on Aug. 19, 2006. The 4.34-mile run/walk is sponsored by Answers in Genesis and proceeds will benefit the Creation Museum, a facility proclaiming the authority and accuracy of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation being built in the Cincinnati, Ohio area.

“Almost all natural-history museums emphasize an evolutionary, humanistic worldview. However, the Creation Museum will present the same scientific facts, while showing how they fit within a Biblical worldview,” said Rob Fill, Race Director. The $25 million, 50,000 square foot facility is scheduled to open in April, 2007 and is being funded completely by donations.

The run/walk will begin at Thomas Worthington High School Athletic Complex, located at 300 W. Granville Rd. in Worthington, Ohio. The course will take participants along the scenic Olentangy River.

Runners and walkers can compete on an individual level or register as a group and compete in the “Church Challenge.” Organized teams will compete against each other and awards will be given for the greatest number of participants as well as the overall finishing time for all participants from a specific group. The “Church Challenge” applies to all types of groups – company, church or social.

Answers in Genesis will provide the first 100 registrants for the Created to Run 7K with a free DVD titled “A Foundation for Change – The First 25 Years of the Relevance Message.” The DVD is a $19 value. Each registrant will also receive a high-quality short sleeved t-shirt.

Rod Martin from Answers in Genesis will speak immediately following the race. Martin holds two Master’s degrees from Dallas Theological Seminary and has served in pastoral roles for 18 years. He serves as an adjunct professor in Bible studies and is the director of Internet Outreach for Answers in Genesis.

In addition to the “Church Challenge,” awards and special prizes will be given to the top three male and female finishers along with the top three walkers. The top three finishers in each of seven age categories, plus a walking division, will also receive awards.

Interested runners and walkers can visit www. runwildracing. com to register for the event. Pre-registration is available until July 31 and is $20. After July 31, registration is $25 and $30 on race day. The race begins at 8:07 a. m.
