HOGGAN Ergo Unveils Latest Ergonomics Breakthrough

The new ergoPAK FSR (Force Sensing Resistor) was announced today by HOGGAN Ergo. This innovation to its highly successful ergoPAK Portable Analysis Kit will provide versatile, easy to use sensors to measure localized pressures placed on the hand.

Salt Lake City, UT (PRWEB) November 13, 2008

HOGGAN Ergo proudly announces the launch of their new ergoPAK FSR (Force Sensing Resistor), the latest advancement to the already highly successful ergoPAK Portable Analysis Kit (http://www. hogganhealth. com/microfet-ergonomics2.php? product=ergoPAK). Designed for ergonomic, engineering, biomechanical and research testing applications for measuring job conditions and human performance in real time, the ergoPAK with the ergoPAK FSR provides a comprehensive toolkit for engineers and ergonomists.

The ergoPAK FSR measures pressure between the body (ie., hand, finger) and external surfaces, tools and machines. The sensors are thin, flexible, non-obtrusive and have minimal interference or disturbance to normal action or performance. The sensors can be mounted directly on fingertips or other pressure points on the hand. Additionally, the sensors can be used under latex gloves, with finger cots or gloves specifically designed for the ergoPAK FSR. Please visit Hoggan Health (http://www. hogganhealth. com/microfet-ergonomics2.php? product=ergopakFSR) for more information.

The FSR connector box allows up to four sensors, which connects to the ergoPAK wireless device hub sending data to the software. The FSR Array has a predefined measurement setup like the other sensors in the ergoPAK data collection software and is operational within minutes.

"With the latest expansion of our product line, ergoPAK is now a full featured device that includes a complete toolkit for objectively measuring and quantifying essentially all industrial and human factors", said Ryan Dean Hoggan, Director of HOGGAN Ergo. "ergoPAK FSR will allow the user to test tactile force, along with the many other factors, including velocity and range of motion", said Hoggan.

The ergoPAK FSR combined with the ergoPAK provides the ability to perform critical tactile tests that were previously impossible. Common uses include measuring pressure/force applied on a power tool, force applied by surgeons using a scalpel or even autoworkers assembling radiator hoses or connector cables.

The ergoPAK FSR will interface with all existing and new ergoPAK's. The system will continue to offer an easy to use wireless data collection system; there is no need to manually record findings. The software program will not only record data, but will export the data to a. csv file for simple analysis. The ergoPAK Portable Analysis Toolkit with the ergoPAK FSR is an efficient and cost effective solution to increase human, product and process efficiency.
