ALPHARETTA, GEORGIA (PRWEB) December 2, 2003 Â Regency Hospital Company today announced the opening of its newest hospital, Regency Hospital of Hattiesburg located in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Regency Hospital is a 33-bed hospital located within Forrest General Hospital. Regency is a Long Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital that treats medically complex patients who have suffered recent catastrophic illness or injury and require an extended length of stay in an acute care environment.

Regency Hospital Company has appointed Mr. Jim Kaigler, Chief Executive Officer of the hospital. ÂJim Kaigler is an excellent administrator. His vast healthcare experience coupled with his knowledge of this level of care make him an excellent fit for this market, stated Mr. Laughlin. ÂMr. Kaigler is highly experienced in hospital operations and will guide the hospital in creating an outstanding clinical LTAC program, he continued.
The hospital began taking patients on November 17, 2003. A grand opening celebration is being planned to introduce the hospital to the healthcare community in the next few months.
