Nurse of the Year Honored for Excellence

Pascack Valley Hospital presented Jeanette Previdi, RN, with the 2004 Annual Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice in Nursing at its Annual NursesÂ’ Dinner held on Wednesday, May 12, in recognition of National Nurses Week. This award, now in its 17th year, is given to a registered professional nurse who promotes high levels of patient and customer satisfaction, serves as a role model, positively represents PVH at all times and exemplifies outstanding excellence in clinical nursing.

Pascack Valley Hospital presented Jeanette Previdi, RN, with the 2004 Annual Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice in Nursing at its Annual NursesÂ’ Dinner held on Wednesday, May 12, in recognition of National Nurses Week. This award, now in its 17th year, is given to a registered professional nurse who promotes high levels of patient and customer satisfaction, serves as a role model, positively represents PVH at all times and exemplifies outstanding excellence in clinical nursing.

Ms. Previdi, Manager of the Life Support Training Center at PVH, has been a member of the PVH Nursing family for 24 years and was chosen by her peers to receive this special honor. She is responsible for all training programs for Hospital staff as well as staff at other hospitals and members of the community. The program includes first aid, CPR training, Advanced Life Support, pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation and others. She has trained nurses, doctors, police officers, school teachers, emergency personnel and people from all walks of life.

Ms. Previdi demonstrates outstanding nursing leadership, taking charge in situations that require it and teaching critical care courses and life support programs. She always maintains the highest standards. Not only does she spend her professional life educating others, she always strives to continue her own learning. She has attended multiple continuing education programs, both at Pascack Valley Hospital and at many other locations. She also volunteers for community work that includes the evaluation of other Training Centers for the American Heart Association. Ms. Previdi, who resides in Bardonia, New York, holds a Masters Degree in Public Health with a concentration in Emergency Services. This provides her with an excellent background for her advanced care educational work. With her knowledge and expertise, she is a role model for other health care professionals.
