Datalogic Shares the Future of ‘Auto ID’ at ID WORLD 2010 Milan

Datalogic is pleased to announce its sponsorship of ID World International Congress 2010, the world’s premier event on identification technology. Datalogic will share its expertise with ID WORLD’s international attendees as an exhibitor at the world’s most comprehensive showcase of Auto ID technologies. Datalogic was also invited to be a conference speaker and panelist at this ‘must-attend’ event held in Milan, Italy on November 16-18, 2010.

As the follow up event to the ID WORLD International Congress that occurred in Abu Dhabi this past May, Datalogic will again play a key role at ID WORLD International Congress in Milan not only as a sponsor, but as an Auto ID expert and thought leader. Mauro Sacchetto, CEO of Datalogic, will participate as a panelist on the international CEO Vision panel, Driving the ID Revolution. This session offers a visionary approach of the Auto ID industry and insight into how advancements in Auto ID technologies have contributed to the ‘ID Revolution.’

Additionally, Giulio Berzuini, Datalogic Scanning’s Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for Handheld Scanning, will cover today’s challenges of combating counterfeiting and piracy as an ID WORLD conference speaker. This session will focus on the international counterfeiting phenomenon and how the traceability and identification capabilities of Auto ID technologies can lessen the global impact of counterfeiting.

Matt Schler, Datalogic Scanning’s General Manager of Fixed Retail Scanning, will also speak at the ID WORLD conference about emerging technologies and industry trends in the retail point-of-sale (POS) system. With over 30 years of product development and business management experience, Schler will share reasons behind changes in the POS system and explain trending toward retail self-service and customer “choice” POS options.

Outside the conference, Datalogic will have an active presence at the QUID Initiative, which addresses the local audience in Italy and their interest in adopting ID technologies. QUID will run in tandem with the ID WORLD and share many of the same international guests.
