CompTEC Computer Career Center Veterans Counselor Retires

James A. VanDerWoude, Senior Account Executive a disabled Vietnam War veteran, retired due to increasing health complications. During his time with CompTEC, James specialized in helping veterans utilize their Montgomery GI Bill benefits and a grant available from GIBillTraining. com

West Palm Beach, FL (PRWEB) December 9, 2005

Steve Hatch, President and CEO of PC Training Institute, Inc. announced today, the retirement of James A. VanDerWoude, Senior Account Executive.

Mr. VanDerWoude, a disabled Vietnam War veteran, retired due to increasing health complications. During his time with CompTEC, James specialized in helping veterans utilize their Montgomery GI Bill benefits and a grant available from GIBillTraining. com to cover 100% of their tuition expenses for Microsoft (MCSE MCSD. NET MCDBA, etc.) and Cisco ( CCNA CCNP) certification training needed to improve their career paths.

Mr. Hatch noted that James contribution to the organization will be missed by staff and the many clients James assisted – particularly veterans. Because James was both a Veteran and a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer, his insight into helping other veterans with IT Career planning was invaluable. CompTEC is interviewing to fill the recently vacated position but any replacement will have a hard time filling James’ shoes. PC Training Institute Inc. has been delivering computer career skills training in Palm Beach County since 1995. In 2003, the organization began offering accelerated “boot camp” style training to veterans and active duty personnel around the world, through www. gibilltraining. com. “James VanDerWoude was a great asset in PC Training’s goal to reach out to veterans. We will continue to do everything we can reach out to veterans and help them realize their career training goals.” Mr. Hatch, who is a veteran himself, said.

PatientSafetyFocus. com is a comprehensive, online resource on patient safety programs, statistics and solutions, for healthcare industry professionals, media and consumers. The blog is being introduced by Arrowsight Medical on the occasion of Patient Safety Awareness Week (March 2-8), a national education and awareness-building campaign.

New York, NY (PRWEB) February 21, 2008

Arrowsight Medical (Arrowsight. com) today launched Patient Safety Focus (http://PatientSafetyFocus. com (http://PatientSafetyFocus. com)), a comprehensive, online resource on patient safety programs, statistics and solutions, for healthcare industry professionals, media and consumers. The blog is being introduced on the occasion of Patient Safety Awareness Week (March 2-8), a national education and awareness-building campaign.

PatientSafetyFocus. com consolidates and makes it easy to access key patient safety information on hand hygiene, MRSA, protocols, advocacy programs, as well as industry reports and statistics from a variety of sources.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC):
Some 99,000 Americans die each year from infections acquired in a hospital.  Between 5 and 10 percent of patients admitted to acute-care hospitals acquire one or more infections there.  One in five Americans (22 percent) report that they or a family member have experienced a medical error of some kind in a doctor's office or hospital.  There are an estimated 1.7 million hospital-acquired infections each year... the sixth leading cause of death nationally.  Hospital-acquired infections (HAIs) cost the healthcare industry $6 billion annually.

Arrowsight CEO Adam Aronson said, "By aggregating information on patient safety, we hope to increase awareness of and enable conversation around the critical issue of dramatically decreasing the occurrences of preventable infections and medical errors."

The Leapfrog Group Acting CEO Karen Linscott, added: "The Leapfrog Group welcomes the introduction of new tools like PatientSafetyFocus. com that bring more attention to patient safety for both healthcare providers and consumers."

PatientSafetyFocus. com is published by Arrowsight Medical, a developer of Hospital Video Auditing (HVA), an affordable system of video-based monitoring, assessments and reports that has improved hand-washing compliance from 38 to 90 per cent and provided hospital administrators and physicians with a program to measure compliance rates and adherence to safety protocols across many critical control benchmarks.

Analysis by Biz360 Inc. Shows Bill Clinton Neutralized as Media Asset for Hillary Clinton

Analysis by Biz360 Inc. Shows Bill Clinton Neutralized as Media Asset for Hillary Clinton

Biz360 Inc., the leading provider of media and market intelligence solutions, today released analysis showing that Bill Clinton's campaign-related media coverage is now at its lowest levels since the weeks prior to the Iowa caucus, effectively neutralizing him as an asset to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign.

San Mateo, CA (PRWEB) March 4, 2008 - March 4, 2008 -

Biz360® Inc., the leading provider of media and market intelligence solutions, today released analysis showing that Bill Clinton's campaign-related media coverage is now at its lowest levels since the weeks prior to the Iowa caucus, effectively neutralizing him as an asset to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign. For two weeks prior to the South Carolina Democratic primary, coverage of the former president as a campaign issue drowned out coverage of all policy issues, even surpassing mentions of the Iraq war and the economy.

Biz360 uses a proprietary metric called MediaSignal in its analyses. MediaSignal is a more precise measure of the volume of media coverage weighted to reflect circulation, viewership and online site visitors, as well as prominence within the media mention. Most media coverage measures simply reflect the counting of mentions in newspaper articles, TV segments and online posts. Biz360 continuously monitors millions of traditional and social media sources, including blogs and message boards.

As Bill Clinton cut back on his heated rhetoric after South Carolina, his MediaSignal began to decline - and is now at a level not seen since the end of 2007, allowing the war, health care and the economy to emerge as leading topics, but also depriving Hillary Clinton's campaign of what was once widely perceived as an extremely valuable campaign asset.

The following statistics are based on Biz360's media analysis of print and online news articles from U. S. media sources since January 1, 2008.
At the start of 2008, prior to the Iowa caucuses, Bill Clinton's MediaSignal within Hillary Clinton's campaign coverage was nearly 1.1 billion. Bill Clinton's MediaSignal peaked just prior to the South Carolina Democratic primary at nearly 3.4 billion, a 311% increase At its peak just prior to the South Carolina primary, Bill Clinton's MediaSignal was 42% higher than the Iraq war and 39% more than the economy During this peak, a full 58.5% of Hillary Clinton's MediaSignal consisted of news about Bill Clinton By the end of February, Bill Clinton was down to 760 million, a 77.5% drop from his peak and a 30% drop from the first of the year. "Detailed, weighted media measurement allows you the ability to more accurately assess the impact, both positive and negative, of all spokespeople for your company, organization or campaign," said Tony Priore, chief marketing officer for Biz360, Inc. "You can get a real-time picture of how well your spokesperson is staying on message and take immediate action to rectify any missteps."

To view charts and graphs showing data on Democratic and Republican presidential candidates, visit the MarketIQ blog post on this topic at http://marketiq. biz360.com (http://marketiq. biz360.com).

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz (PRWEB) April 28, 2006 –-

Dave Borden and Tim Watson, PharmD, MBA, principals of Dallas-based Pharmaceutical Strategies Group (http://www. psgconsults. com) (PSG), have purchased the Pharmacy Benefit Management Institute (http://www. pbmi. com) (PBMI) based in Scottsdale, Arizona. PBMI provides research-based educational resources that help employers, health plans, and union groups design and manage drug benefit programs.

“The purchase of PBMI is an investment in the employee benefit management industry to ensure that these research-based resources remain available to the purchasers of drug benefit services,” said Watson. “The prescription drug benefit is a complex and costly element of the health care benefit package. Managing a high-value, cost-effective prescription drug plan is a daunting task for health care purchasers. PBMI has an 11-year track record of providing research, education and publications that help purchasers tackle drug benefit management challenges. We will build on this legacy and expand PBMI’s services in each of these areas.”

As industry stakeholders, we can drive market-based reform.”

PBMI will have its own Advisory Board to help shape future research, education, publications, and services. Members of the board represent the interests and needs of the drug benefit purchasing community. PBMI will continue to tap the expertise of executives from employers, health plans, pharmacy benefit managers, benefits consultants, and industry partners from throughout the industry to serve as faculty members for its conferences, Webcasts, and continuing education services.
